What method is best for clean windows?

Hello Synergetic Home lovers in Las Vegas! Are you tired of staring out your windows only to be greeted with a cloudy, streaky mess? Fear not, because we’ve got you covered with our top tips for cleaning your windows without leaving any pesky streaks behind.
First things first, gather your supplies. Whether you prefer to use a commercial cleaner or a DIY solution, make sure you have everything you need before you start. Our personal favorites include Spic & Span Cinch Glass Cleaner, Invisible Glass, and Windex.
How to make a vinegar solution to clean your windows
For those of you who like to go the DIY route, a simple vinegar solution can work wonders.
• White vinegar (don’t use apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar!)
• Water
• An empty spray bottle or bowl
• Essential oils (optional)
Mix 1 part white vinegar with 2 parts water, add a few drops of essential oils for a pleasant scent.
How to make a soap solution to clean your windows
If you prefer a soap solution, mix 2 gallons of water with 1 teaspoon of dish soap (such as Dawn, Ajax, or Palmolive).
• Dish soap (such as Dawn, Ajax, or Palmolive)
• Water
• An empty spray bottle or bucket
Since dish soap gets very sudsy very easily, be sure to get the ratio correct! In general, you can use about 2 gallons of water to 1 teaspoon of dish soap.
Combining soap solution with vinegar to clean your windows
If you’re ready to go the extra mile, you can also combine the two methods for a vinegar and dish soap solution.
Combine:
• 2 cups of water
• ¼ cup white vinegar
• A few drops of dish soap in a spray bottle
And—voila! You’ve harnessed the cleaning power of both.
But here’s a word of caution: because Las Vegas is categorized as “very hard water”, it’s recommended to stick to the store-bought cleaners. Hard water can leave minerals like calcium and sodium on your windows, causing streaks and white spots that are tough to remove.
Now, it’s time to get down to business. Spray your cleaning solution onto the window and wipe in a circular motion with a clean cloth or newspaper.
Pro tip: avoid cleaning your windows on a hot, sunny day, as the heat can cause the solution to dry too quickly, leaving behind streaks.
And there you have it! With these tips and tricks, your windows will be sparkling in no time. And for an added bonus, why not consider upgrading to energy-efficient windows from Synergetic Home? Not only will they keep your home cozy, but we’ll also save you money on your energy bills. Talk about a win-win situation!
